On January 19th, 2017, Fenway Libraries Online hosted its second event for the Information Literacy Collection Management Community of Interest: Not Throwing Away My One-Shot: Implementing Critical Information Literacy Pedagogy in One-Shot Instruction.  The program content was developed by community chairs, Sam Quiñon and Stacy Collins.

The event included a Think Tank of library and information science professionals: Dawn Cadogan and Caro Pinto, chapter authors for the ACRL Handbook of Critical Library Pedagogy, Shanti Freudlich the Online and Educational Technologies Librarian at the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, Maric Kramer the Academic Outreach Librarian for the Social Sciences at Brandeis University, and Dawn Stahura the Research and Instruction Librarian for Social Sciences and Zine Librarian at Simmons College.

Attendees were able to meet with fellow Info Lit colleagues and explore how they are already incorporating critical pedagogy into their work or how they can begin to do so for the future.  Thank you to the organizers, panelists, and attendees for contributing to an informative event!
